KUCHING: Police arrested a 70-year-old local man in connection with a molestation case involving two sisters.
Kuching police chief ACP Alexson Naga Chabu said the suspect was detained at about 11.25 pm yesterday (Mar 2) in Kampung Sungai Batu along Jalan Sultan Tengah here.
He said the case is being investigated under Section 354 of the Penal Code, which carries a jail term of up to 10 years, as well as whipping or a fine upon conviction.
Alexson advised parents to monitor the whereabouts and safety of their children to prevent similar incidents.
