Serian Resident Johnathan Lugoh yesterday received a cheque for RM250,000 from the state disaster committee here at DUN to improve several slopes affected by landslips in the division last year.
Corrective works will be carried out by Jabatan Kerja Raya (JKR) and are expected to complete by end of this year.
Education, Science and Technological Research Minister Datuk Seri Michael Manyin, who gave the cheque, said it was his hope that the people would appreciate the fact that Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) does not only talk.
“GPS walks the talk,” he said.
