KUCHING: Serian FA president, Philip Jabu, vowed his team will give their all and fight hard in the second leg of the Sarawak Premier League semi-final as they prepare to improve on their first-leg performance.
“We will give our best in the upcoming second leg match. We will prepare ourselves to improve on the areas where we fell short in the first leg,” he told Sarawak Tribune.
The first leg between Serian FA and Samarahan FA ended in a nail-biting draw at Stadium Samarahan last weekend on Jan 24.
Reflecting on the match, Philip said he was satisfied with the team’s commitment and believed the result was fair for both sides.
“We are pleased with the players, the team, and their commitment. I want to say this result is fair for us, the people of Serian. For us, it is fair, and for me personally, it is fair as well,” he said.
Philip added that his team would focus on correcting mistakes and preparing rigorously ahead of the return leg scheduled for 3.00 pm this Saturday (Jan 31) at Sarawak Stadium.
Serian FA will be aiming to secure a spot in the Sarawak Premier League final in what promises to be a thrilling conclusion to the semi-final tie.
