SERIAN: In conjunction with this year’s Merdeka Month celebrations, the Serian Division Football Association (SFA) will host the 2025 Futsal Championship on Aug 23 and 24 at the Balai Ringin Sports Complex.
Tournament chairman Abdul Razak Bujang said the competition is limited to 32 teams and will adopt a group-stage league format in the early rounds, followed by a knockout format in the later stages.

He added that attractive cash prizes await the top four teams in this year’s competition.
“The champion team will receive RM2,500, along with a trophy and medals.
“The runner-up and third-place teams will receive RM1,500 and RM500 respectively, including trophies and medals,” Abdul Razak said.
Meanwhile, the team that finishes fourth will take home RM300, along with a trophy and medals.
In addition, there will be a RM100 cash prize and trophy awarded to the tournament’s Best Player.
Razak said the tournament not only provides a platform for players to showcase their skills but also serves as a meaningful way to strengthen community ties.
“We believe this tournament will help uncover new talents among the participating players,” he added.
