KUCHING: Seroja Football Club (Seroja FC) are pleased to announce the successful completion of its second “Champions of Tomorrow Bootcamp,” held at SMK Katibas, Song.

The three-day event engaged 48 students and volunteers from both Seroja FC and Gerumpung Belia Song, focusing on personal development, leadership, and community service.

The bootcamp featured a comprehensive programme, including leadership workshops, team-building exercises, and community initiatives, all led by trainer Suhaimie Selin (Coach MT). Additionally, Norasmah Jaafar from Kolej Komuniti Sarikei provided insights into educational opportunities available at the college.

A key highlight of the bootcamp was the participants’ involvement in teaching English reading skills to local children, enhancing literacy and fostering educational advancement in the community.

In line with its commitment to social responsibility, Seroja FC donated 400 English books to Rumah Jala and Rumah Garing, Ng Miaw Song, to further expand access to educational resources.

The initiative reflected Seroja FC’s mission to harness sports and community engagement as tools for positive change. By collaborating with Gerumpung Belia Song, the club bridged the gap between urban and rural communities, fostering unity and a shared sense of purpose.

“This bootcamp was more than just an event; it was a catalyst to develope future leaders and active contributors to society.

“We are proud of the students and volunteers for their dedication in creating a positive impact.

“We would like to thank Impact Malaysia , Akademi Rakan Muda , SMK Katibas , Herbert Sumok, President of  Gerumpung Belia Song and all that involves in the programme ” said project coordinator Raden Khairulzaman in a statement issued today.

With initiatives such as the “Champions of Tomorrow Bootcamp,” Seroja FC reaffirmed their commitment to using sports and volunteerism to create lasting positive change, while investing in the next generation to build a stronger, more vibrant community.
