MUKAH: The Tellian Service Centre was quick to hand out aid to victims of a fire within hours after it occurred in Kampung Tellian Daya here on Thursday.
Two families comprising nine occupants lost their home when their wooden house was destroyed in a fire which happened at about 3pm on Thursday.
All the occupants, including four children, were safe and are currently staying at their neighbour’s house nearby.
The centre contributed five boxes of mineral water; food such as rice, sugar, tea, biscuits and salt; and clothes.
Kampung Tellian Ulu Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) Youth sub-branch head Stanislaus Mateloh handed over the contribution to house owner Busang Belalan, 73.
Also present during the event were Tellian Service Centre special officer Felix Peing, Tellian branch PBB Women head Saripah Mardiah Tuanku Ahmad and party members.
