The corporation in its Facebook post reaffirmed its efforts to capture more crocodiles that have been frequently spotted near local residents’ homes.

On Dec 10, SFC had initiated the operation along the Sarawak River (Crocodile-Free Zone), following public complaints about crocodile sightings in the area.

The operation, which will continue until Dec 17, has already resulted in the capture and death of a 13-foot crocodile.

The areas surrounding Kampung Semariang, where the operation is focused, have been identified as key locations for crocodile removal.

SFC’s SWAT team is actively tracking and capturing crocodiles to reduce the population in the river.

Methods such as fishing setups and firearms are being used throughout the operation.

In light of this, SFC urges residents to cooperate to ensure the operation’s success.
