MIRI: Sarawak Forestry Corporation (SFC) has reiterated its commitment to strengthening execution and delivery outcomes in 2026, in line with the Post Covid-19 Development Strategy (PCDS) 2030.

The emphasis was highlighted during the 2026 General Manager’s Address held at the SFC Miri regional office on Monday (Jan 26).

The address which was delivered by Abang Arabi Abang Aimran touched on SFC’s shift from an activity-driven delivery to outcome-driven execution, positioning PCDS 2030 as the guiding framework for organisational planning and implementation.

Built around four strategic thrusts namely conservation, eco-tourism, rural transformation and revenue generation, he reaffirmed SFC’s role as a green agency committed not only to protecting Sarawak’s biodiversity assets, but also to delivering public value through sound governance, inclusive practices and impactful implementation.

For 2026, priority will be given to execution excellence, with focus areas including standardisation, regulatory compliance, risk management and digitalisation as a performance accelerator.

Strengthening a culture of ownership across all levels of the organisation was also highlighted as a key requirement for effective delivery.

The direction set out is supported by the 3P agenda namely People’s Development, People’s Inclusivity and People’s Integrity, alongside the 3R discipline of Revisit, Rethink and Recharge, as part of efforts to continuously raise organisational standards.

At the same time, Abang Arabi emphasised that SFC’s initiatives and actions must contribute directly to Sarawak’s development priorities of economic prosperity, environmental sustainability and social inclusivity.

SFC said the 2026 address was positioned as more than a routine annual exercise, serving instead as a strategic call to action for SFC to move forward as One Team SCS, guided by a shared narrative, common direction and unified standard of excellence in serving Sarawak.
