The launch took place at the Shell Booth around 11.30am, officiated by Deputy Minister for Energy and Environmental Sustainability, Datuk Dr Hazland Abang Hipni.
As part of the event, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was exchanged between Shell MDS and Lauryn Manufacturing, under a technical collaboration with Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (Unimas).

The documents were exchanged between Shell MDS Malaysia general manager Amir Bakar, and Unimas deputy vice-chancellor of research & innovation Prof Dr Siti Noor Linda Taib, witnessed by Dr Hazland and Shell Malaysia country chair and vice-president of upstream Malaysia, Siti Sulaiman.
The event that marked the official unveiling of Shell GTL SaraCare featured the launch of a premium high-purity wax derived from natural gas.
