KUALA LUMPUR: Sarawak Tourism Board (STB) has launched its ‘Sia Sitok Sarawak 2026’ campaign at the MATTA Fair Kuala Lumpur, offering discounts of up to 40 per cent on selected holiday packages to the state.

The campaign, launched at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC), is aimed at drawing more domestic travellers to Sarawak through special travel offers available at the Sarawak Pavilion.

It also reflects Sarawak’s continued effort to strengthen the domestic tourism market by making travel more affordable while showcasing the state’s wide range of attractions and experiences.

STB Chairman,, Datuk Dennis Ngau said domestic travellers have remained an important contributor to Sarawak’s tourism growth over the years.

“Domestic travellers have always been a central part of Sarawak’s tourism story, and their strong support over the past few years has contributed significantly to the steady growth we are seeing today,” he said.

He also mentioned that the campaign serves as a platform for the board to engage directly with travellers in conjunction with Visit Malaysia Year 2026.

“Initiatives like ‘Sia Sitok Sarawak’ allow us to connect directly with travellers and invite them to experience the many sides of Sarawak,” he added.

More than 80 curated holiday packages are being offered under the campaign in collaboration with 17 licensed Sarawak tour operators, with each package designed as a minimum three days and two nights travel experience.

The packages cover destinations including Kuching, Sibu, Miri, Rajang River, Gunung Mulu National Park, Niah National Park and Bario.

The chairman also added that the promotional packages are valid until December 15 this year.
