SIBU: Police are on the trail of grave desecrators who vandalised 28 graves in Pulau Keladi here.
Sibu police chief ACP Zulkipli Suhaili said the Tuai Rumah of Tanjung Latap longhouse lodged a police report on April 7 on the desecration of Iban graves in his area.
“A police team was despatched to the scene to conduct an investigation. It was found that 28 graves have been desecrated,” he said in a statement last night (April 13).
Zulkipli said no stone will be left unturned in their efforts to track down the suspects and solve the case, which he said isbeing investigated under Section 297 of the Penal Code.
