Sibu tops list with six out of 14 cases

KUCHING: Sarawak recorded 14 cases of Covid-19 on Saturday (Jan 22), with the total number of cases adding up to 252,688.

The Sarawak Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) stated that 13 cases were in categories 1 and 2, while only one case in category 3.

“Breaking down of the cases saw Sibu again topping the table with six cases, while Miri only recorded three cases.

“The districts of Kuching, Samarahan, Meradong, Serian and Julau each recorded only one Covid-19 case,” said the committee.

Besides that, SDMC also added that there were 47 new persons under surveillance and a total of 713 were in quarantine.

The committee mentioned that the total number of persons under surveillance discharged from quarantine were 164,539.
