BINTULU: A mental wellness initiative is shedding light on the often-overlooked emotional strain experienced by individuals navigating modern-day pressures.
Organised by Faradale Media-M Sdn Bhd (FMM) with support from RAKAN Sarawak and Destiny Mover, the ‘Unmask the Mind to Thrive and Flourish’ programme, to be held on April 18, 2026 here, aims to equip participants with practical tools to better manage stress and build emotional resilience.
According to a press release by RAKAN Sarawak and Destiny Mover, the initiative responds to growing concerns over the tendency for individuals to mask their struggles behind a façade of calm and control.
The programme is designed as a safe and non-judgmental space where participants are encouraged to explore their emotions and reconnect with their authentic selves.
It moves beyond conventional seminars by incorporating interactive and evidence-based approaches to support mental well-being.
Among the techniques introduced are box breathing to regulate the nervous system, expressive art therapy as a creative outlet for emotions, and the ALEC model to enhance emotional awareness.
A representative from FMM said the initiative reframes vulnerability as a strength and an essential step towards personal growth.
“By creating a safe, non-judgmental environment, the workshop supports individuals in reconnecting with their authentic selves, building supportive connections, and enhancing overall well-being,” the representative said.
The initiative is supported by Lembaga Pelabuhan Bintulu (LPB), reflecting its commitment to community development and mental health advocacy.
As a strategic communication firm, FMM continues to play a role in promoting mental wellness through programmes that encourage resilience, self-awareness and open conversations on mental health.
The programme highlights the importance of addressing emotional well-being, as more organisations step up efforts to support mental health within the community.
