Silverware chase on as SPL hits q-finals

KUCHING: The race for silverware begins this Saturday (Jan 10) as the Sarawak Premier League 2025 gets underway, with all four first-leg quarter-final matches kicking off simultaneously at 3.30 pm across Sarawak.

PDRM FA will host Bintulu FA at Stadium Unimas, while Kuching FA take on Limbang FA at Stadium Sarawak.

In Kapit, the home side will face Serian FA at Stadium Kapit, as Samarahan FA welcome Miri FA at Stadium Samarahan.

Serian FA enter the knockout stage as the top team from the Southern Zone after finishing first with 31 points, narrowly ahead of Kuching FA, who ended the league phase second with 30 points.

Samarahan FA also progressed comfortably after finishing third with 25 points, while PDRM FA secured the final Southern Zone spot in fourth place.

From the Northern Zone, Bintulu FA topped the standings with 24 points, followed by Miri FA in second with 22 points. Limbang FA and Kapit FA completed the quarter-final line-up after finishing third and fourth respectively.

The quarter-final ties will be played over two legs, with teams looking to gain an early advantage in Saturday’s first-leg fixtures before the return matches. All four matches will kick off at 3.30pm.
