KUCHING: The Simunjan District 2019 New Year countdown celebration will feature numerous exciting activities.
Project manager Mohammad Zaini Morshidi said the celebration will commence from Dec 27 till 31 at Padang Sentral and Dewan Mesra Simunjan.
According to Zaini, among the activities will be the Ratu Kebaya Competition, “Gubahan Hantara” Competition, “Tandak Lamak” Competition, Mobile Legends Competition and a Battle of The Bands.
“Various prizes are waiting to be won by those who participate in the competitions.
“Meanwhile, the countdown event will be the highlight of the programme on Dec 31 at 8pm in Padang Sentral,” he said.
He said, during the countdown, it will be enlivened with fireworks and performances by invited artistes namely Cermin Band Boy and Ricky El.
“Batang Sadong MP Datuk Sri Nancy Shukri and Simunjan assemblyman Awla Dris will attend the celebration,” he added.
Members of the public are encouraged to participate in the programme.
