SINGAPORE: Asia’s premier food and beverage trade event, Food & Hotel Asia–Food & Beverage (FHA-F&B) 2025, is proving to be a powerful gateway for Sarawak producers seeking access to international markets.
Held in Singapore from Apr 8 to 11, the exhibition serves as a strategic platform for promoting high-quality Sarawak products, including halal-certified food items to a global audience.
Advisor to the Ministry of International Trade, Industry and Investment (MINTRED) Datuk Seri Mohd Naroden Majais said Singapore is among the most effective entry points in Southeast Asia to promote Malaysian, particularly Sarawakian, products to broader markets, including the Middle East and Europe.
“With over four million residents, Singapore offers a sizeable and influential consumer base.
“Exhibitions like FHA-F&B are ideal for showcasing halal-certified Malaysian food products, and Sarawak has plenty to offer,” he said during a visit to the Sarawak Pavilion at Singapore Expo on Thursday (Apr 11).
He added that Sarawak products featured at the fair, such as white and black pepper, processed bird’s nest, midin-based tea, empurau fish, Sarawak laksa paste, and locally roasted coffee, are ready for export and meet international standards.
Naroden said the growing global population translates to a rising demand for quality food products, making now an opportune time for Sarawak businesses to expand beyond domestic borders.
He also congratulated the Sarawak Trade and Tourism Office Singapore (STATOS) for successfully curating and presenting a strong line-up of Sarawak-based exhibitors at this year’s event.
“I encourage not just Singaporeans, but also Malaysians residing here, to visit the Sarawak Pavilion and discover the wide range of products we are proud to showcase,” he added.
A total of 19 exhibitors from Sarawak are participating in FHA-F&B 2025, reflecting the state’s growing ambition to position itself as a competitive player in the global food and beverage industry.
