KUCHING: Rising Muay Thai talent Emylia Lynn Ghazali, better known as Mia Ghazali, has strengthened her preparations for the upcoming Malaysia Games (SUKMA) after claiming victory at the Eminent Fighting Championship (EFC) event in Singapore.

The 15-year-old fighter from Rentap Muay Thai Gym is now shifting her full focus to the SUKMA Games this August, where she is expected to represent Sarawak.

Fresh from her success in Singapore, Mia will continue an intensive training programme at Rentap Muay Thai Gym as she prepares for one of the country’s biggest multi-sport competitions.

She is aiming to build on the momentum from her latest international outing and deliver a gold medal for Sarawak.

In the lead-up to SUKMA, she will continue sharpening her technical skills, improving her fitness and maintaining peak condition as she seeks to contribute to Sarawak’s medal haul.

While Mia is widely recognised as the younger sister of Johan Ghazali, who has made a name for himself on the international Muay Thai stage, the teenager is steadily carving out her own path with a string of impressive performances.

Her latest triumph also highlights the continued success of Rentap Muay Thai Gym in developing young athletes capable of competing at both national and international levels.
