KUCHING:TEGAS Digital Village welcomed 31 Primary 5 students from Telok Kurau Primary School, Singapore for an inspiring educational visit aimed at fostering innovation and cross-border collaboration among young leaders.
The delegation, accompanied by five teachers and a tour leader, participated in a two-hour programme from 8.30 am to 10.30 am that offered an immersive introduction to Sarawak’s burgeoning digital ecosystem.
The visit commenced with a presentation introducing TEGAS, outlining its pivotal role in promoting STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics), Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET), and digital innovation throughout Sarawak.
Students and teachers learned about TEGAS’ work as a charitable trust dedicated to empowering youth through community-driven initiatives and technology-based learning.
Following the briefing, the students toured the TEGAS Digital Village facilities, designed to support entrepreneurship, innovation and digital learning.
The highlight was an interactive STEM playground session supported by TEGAS Community Innovative Learning (TCIL), where students engaged in creative hands-on activities that ignited curiosity and showcased the exciting possibilities of science and technology in a fun environment.
“It was a joy to host Telok Kurau Primary School for the first time. We hope their brief time with us left a lasting impression and inspired them to continue exploring innovation and creativity,” said Mohd Shafiee, manager of Corporate Communication and Secretariat at TEGAS.
TEGAS looks forward to hosting more collaborative visits as part of its ongoing mission to nurture young talents and foster regional learning experiences.
