MUKAH: Six clients of the National Anti-Drug Agency (AADK) Mukah, hailing from the Daro area, received crucial support under the Low-Income Family Empowerment (LIFE) programme, initiated by the Ministry of Women, Early Childhood, and Community Wellbeing Development (KPWK).
The handover ceremony, officiated by assemblyman Safiee Ahmad, took place at the Daro District Office today.
Safiee said the initiative is a collaborative effort between the KPWK Social Development Council and the One Stop Committee to address Drug and Substance Issues (OSC-MIDS), aiming to uplift household incomes and bolster the economic stability of participants.
“AADK clients are encouraged to look towards the future, leaving past challenges behind. The equipment provided through this programme should be fully utilised to improve their lives and enhance their income,” he said.
He further emphasised the importance of a targeted approach by OSC-MIDS for each Village Development and Security Committee (JKKK), suggesting that this strategy could lead to more impactful results for smaller groups, as many JKKKs have already set up bureaus to tackle social issues within their communities.
Also present were Daro District Officer Zul Usup, KPWK MPS representative Mohd Nazreen Nazeman, and AADK Mukah anti-drug assistant Mike Dona Seriin Kakan.
