KOTA SAMARAHAN: Six individuals were arrested after their urine were tested positive for illegal substances.
The National Anti-Drug Agency (AADK) Kota Samarahan conducted an operations around the district, where several hotpots were identified.
As a result, six individuals were apprehended by a team from the agency and they were tested positive for using drugs.
The arrest of the individuals is conducted according to the amendment of Act 283 of the Drug Dependents (Treatment and Rehibilitation) Act 1983.
This amendment expands the scope of agency action to allow for the arrest, treatment and rehabilitation to be carried out not only for drug dependants, but also for drug and substance abusers.
