MERADONG: Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK) Bandar Bintangor recently received six smart television units, reflecting the Sarawak Government’s ongoing commitment to enhancing digital education.
The contribution aims to support the implementation of the school’s digital education policy in line with the Ministry of Education Malaysia’s Digital Education Policy (DPD 2023), particularly under Pillar 4 (Infrastructure and Empowerment) and Pillar 5 (Quality Digital Content).
According to the school, this initiative will enhance SK Bandar Bintangor’s readiness in providing a conducive digital learning environment, while empowering students and teachers through technology-based pedagogical approaches.
The facilities distributed today by Meradong state assemblyman, Datuk Ding Kuong Hiing, enable teachers to utilise interactive digital materials, educational applications, learning videos, as well as virtual teaching and learning (PdP) platforms to improve the effectiveness of classroom instruction.
It also supports the implementation of 21st-century learning, which emphasises creativity, collaboration, critical thinking, and communication.
In addition, the use of such technology is expected to expand tech-assisted learning methods such as digital quizzes, multimedia simulations, and real-time visual displays, making the PdP process more engaging, interactive, and student-centred.
The contribution is expected to provide direct benefits to daily PdP implementation, enhance students’ learning outcomes, and support long-term digital education objectives towards nurturing a technologically literate, competent, and competitive generation in the digital era.
