SERIAN: The redevelopment of Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK) Kujang Mawang, Tebedu, under Phase 3 of the RM1 billion allocation for dilapidated schools has been completed.
A handover ceremony was held recently at the school to mark the project’s completion, which provided modern facilities aimed at improving the quality of rural education.
The Public Works Department (PWD) said the redevelopment included a three-storey administration block, a four-storey classroom block and a preschool block to support teaching and learning needs.
“The project covered the construction of various key facilities to support the needs of the school community.

“To ensure students’ comfort, a boys’ dormitory and a girls’ dormitory were built, complete with a dining hall for daily use.
“In addition, three barrack-style blocks with six units were also developed as supplementary facilities,” the department said in a Facebook statement.
The project further introduced an elevated water tank to ensure clean water supply, three waste disposal centres for systematic waste management and a guardhouse for security.
PWD added that modern drainage, electrical and mechanical systems were also installed to support school operations and enhance daily comfort for students and staff.
It said the completion of the project not only upgraded facilities in Tebedu but also supported the government’s aspiration to reduce the rural development gap.
