SIMUNJAN: Work on Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK) Tebelu here was completed and officially handed over in December 2025, marking another milestone in Sarawak’s efforts to upgrade educational facilities, particularly in rural areas.

The completed project was recently inspected during a site visit by the Director of Public Works Department (PWD) Sarawak, Dr Cassidy Morris, who expressed satisfaction with the overall quality of the works delivered.

Implemented under the Sarawak government’s Dilapidated Schools Redevelopment Programme using the RM1 billion allocation (Phase 1), the project aims to provide a safer, more comfortable and conducive learning environment that meets current educational needs.

The completed facilities at SK Tebelu include a four-storey administration block (Type B), a pre-school block (Type B), and a pump house block (Type B), all constructed in accordance with the approved scope, specifications and standards set by PWD Sarawak.

Dr Cassidy also recorded his appreciation to the project team, contractor and all parties involved for their commitment and close cooperation, which ensured the school was completed on schedule and handed over.

The completion of SK Tebelu is expected to significantly benefit the school community and enhance the quality of teaching and learning in the Simunjan area.
