MUKAH: The Sarawakku Sayang (SKS) Programme 2026 will offer 170 services from 50 agencies to the public at Dataran Pehin Setia Raja from Oct 2 to 4.
The three-day programme, organised by the Sarawak government, aims to bring government services, information and assistance closer to the people, particularly those in rural and remote areas.
Visitors can access various service counters, exhibitions and information on government initiatives, including a Talikhidmat counter for enquiries and complaints.
A key highlight is the Sarawak Basic Needs Contribution Initiative (SKAS) 2026 counter, where visitors can seek clarification on eligibility, assistance rates and digital disbursement through SPay Global.
Under SKAS 2026, eligible households will receive RM1,100, senior citizens RM600 and single individuals RM375. The initiative is expected to benefit nearly 800,000 recipients statewide.
Visitors can also obtain information on the Sarawak Free Tertiary Education Scheme, employment opportunities and career development, while healthcare services will include health screenings, consultations and influenza vaccinations for senior citizens.
The programme will also feature cultural performances, community games and a People’s Concert, with 85 prizes, including a Proton Saga as the grand prize, up for grabs.
The opening ceremony will be officiated by Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg on Oct 3 at 10.30 am at the main tent, Dataran Pehin Setia Raja.
Residents of Mukah and surrounding areas are encouraged to attend and make use of the services and opportunities available.
