LIMBANG: A programme would not be complete without stalls or sales booths that serve as a main attraction for visitors while also creating business opportunities for the local community.
Similarly, the Sarawakku Sayang Programme 2026 (SKS2026) has provided 50 booth lots for local traders to promote their respective products.
A total of 30 booths were allocated for food and beverage sales, while the remaining 20 offered handicrafts, dried food products, and a variety of appealing desserts.
Such sales-oriented programmes provide opportunities for small and medium traders to generate income, while also stimulating the local economy.
In addition, lucky draws held throughout the Dapur Limbang event attracted visitors and added merriment to a lively atmosphere.
Among the prizes offered were electrical appliances such as rice cookers and blenders, as well as other consolation items.
Meanwhile, a Suara Sarawak observation found that the programme site remained vibrant despite the hot weather, with visitors arriving from across Limbang and nearby areas.
The programme also served as a platform for social interaction, allowing visitors to spend quality time with their families while enjoying the wide range of food and activities available.
Various engaging activities were also organised, including government service counters, stage performances, and promotional sales, which successfully drew public interest.
Basic facilities, such as parking areas and well-organised booth layouts, further contributed to visitors’ comfort throughout the event.
The SKS2026 programme is expected to continue its roadshow to its second location in Miri from April 24 to 26 at Miri Stadium.
The public is invited to attend and enliven the event, while strengthening the spirit of togetherness and support for the state government’s initiatives.
