Slight dip in cases of COVID-19

KUCHING: A total of 89 COVID-19 cases have been reported in Sarawak overall during the fourth epidemiology (epid) week of this year, a slight dip from 110 cases the previous week.

Of the total number of cases during the Epid Week 4, 83 were in categories one and two, while six were in categories three, four, and five.

Sarawak Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) in its weekly COVID-19 update also said there is no COVID-19-related death recorded during this Epid Week 4.

The committee reported that Kuching recorded the highest number of cases at 35, followed by Miri (11), Sibu (10), and Bintulu (5).

Four cases each were recorded in Dalat and Serian, while three cases were recorded in Samarahan.

Meanwhile, two cases each were reported in Sarikei, Mukah, Selangau, Simunjan and Kanowit plus one case each in Bau, Betong, Bukit Mabong, Lubok Antu, Siburan, Meradong and Telang Usan.
