SMK Balleh‘s students, teachers gain exposure during study tour

SIBU: A total of 33 Form Five students and seven accompanying teachers from Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan (SMK) Balleh, Kapit, participated in the Kuching Study Tour Programme recently.

The tour aimed to expose students to aspects of culture, history, media, environmental conservation, and personal development.

Among the places visited in the programme were Cats FM, Sarawak Cultural Village, Borneo Cultures Museum, Waterfront Kuching, Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS), Sarawak State Co-Curricular Centre (Kem Santubong) and Jong’s Crocodile Farm.

Throughout the programme, the students showed active involvement, showed a high spirit of cooperation and displayed excellent discipline.

SMK Balleh’s Principal, Stanley Bayang, expressed his happiness to see students from the interior areas able to witness the rapid development taking place in the state capital, Kuching.

He also stated that the objectives of the visit had been successfully achieved and thanked all parties who had provided financial support and assistance throughout the programme.

“This programme has had a positive impact on the participants by providing meaningful experiences that support the holistic development of the students,” he added.
