SEBUYAU: A total of 26 smart TVs worth RM60,814 have been contributed to Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan (SMK) Sebuyau to enhance human capital development in line with the state’s Post-Covid-19 Development Strategy (PCDS) 2030.

Batang Lupar MP Mohamad Shafizan Kepli said the contribution, announced during the Salam 4.9 Knowledge Village Programme at Dewan Pembangunan Sebuyau, aims to strengthen technology-based teaching and learning in classrooms.

“The school’s learning system needs to be elevated to a more interactive and engaging level, in line with 21st-century education demands.

“I hope this effort will help SMK Sebuyau achieve a School Average Grade (GPS) of 4.9 in the upcoming SPM results,” he said in a Facebook statement today (Aug 4).

With this contribution, all four secondary schools in Batang Lupar — SMK Lingga, SMK Pusa, SMK Beladin, and SMK Sebuyau — are now equipped with the same facility.

In addition to the smart TVs, the Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) of SMK Sebuyau also received RM30,000 to support student programmes and activities, as well as RM9,000 for workshops and tuition classes.

Shafizan also presented incentives to 51 SPM candidates to encourage them to improve their academic performance.
