SIBU: SMK Sibu Jaya emerged champion in the Sibu District Cadet Police’s marching competition.
First and second runners-up were SMK Chung Hua SMK Sungai Merah, respectively.
Held at Sibu district police headquarters on Saturday, the competition attracted the participation of 10 teams from secondary schools here.
Bukit Assek assemblywoman Irene Chang gave away the prizes to all the winners.
In her speech, she said: “I felt honoured to witness the fierce competition between 10 school teams. You have displayed spirit of teamwork, physical coordination and sheer determination to compete despite the rain.”
