Old Man’s Santa Run 3.0 Charity Run held on Dec 17 at Kuching South City Council (MBKS).

KUCHING: The Society for Critically Sick Children (S.O.S Kids) has received a donation of RM10,000 from the Fat Old Man’s Santa Run 3.0 Charity Run held on Dec 17 at Kuching South City Council (MBKS). Yahya Muhammad Iskandar, who is the Organising Chairman of the charity run, is passionate about running and promoting good health.

Through the organisation of charity runs, his team strives to contribute and create opportunities and awareness for the people in the community t o give back to the society and help the less fortunate.

Fat Old Man’s Santa Run was first established in 2015 and the support from the community has been more and more overwhelming over the past three years.

Through the annual char i ty run, Yahya hopes to raise more awarenes s on the existence of the less fortunate and critically ill children through the works of S.O.S Kids, and aims to continue their contribution and to S.O.S Kids.

The members of S.O.S Kids would like to expres s thei r appreciation to each and every participant who attended, organised and assisted in making this charity run a huge success.

S.O.S Kids has been established since 2013 and throughout the year s, i t has helped hundreds of children who are faced with, or have survived, l i fe threatening i l lnes s and their families to cope with their medical conditions.

The Society has supported these families by assisting them to obtain their medical needs in their journey of recuperat ion and recovery.

In addition, S.O.S Kids also aims to enhance clinical expertise of heal th care workers through cont inuing suppor t various research projects in pediatric critical care medicine field and medical educational activities.
