MALAYSIAN digital content creator Sofyank has expressed his excitement after being given the opportunity to work alongside Hollywood superstar Tom Cruise on a special project set for May 6.
The 29-year-old, whose real name is Mohamad Sofian Abdullah, shared the exciting news shortly after arriving safely in Japan, where the major filming project is taking place.
“Bismillah, Alhamdulillah, I’ve landed safely in Tokyo with @mshaffuan. InsyaAllah, if all goes well, I’ll be filming a VFX (visual effects) video with Tom Cruise,” he announced on social media.
The young creator admitted feeling extremely nervous in the lead-up to the shoot.
“At the moment, I’m feeling really anxious about filming. Even though I’ve prepared well in advance, I’m still worried about how the session will go,” he confessed.
Sofyank also took the opportunity to request prayers and support from his followers.
“If it’s not too much to ask, I’d like to request everyone to pray that tomorrow’s shoot goes smoothly. Insya-Allah, I’ll keep everyone updated on our journey here,” he added.
Prior to this announcement, Sofyank had sparked curiosity among fans when he posted a teaser video on social media.
The short clip showed him standing in front of a mysterious man who strongly resembled Tom Cruise, accompanied by the phrase “three assignments”.
Sofyank is well-known for his creative use of VFX and has previously collaborated with several international names, making this potential collaboration with Cruise a significant milestone in his career.
