KUALA LUMPUR: Solarvest, one of Malaysia’s leading clean energy providers, is breaking new ground by bringing sustainability to the sports scene with the launch of the 2025 Solarvest Pickleball Cup.
Happening on August 2-3 at Picklefy, Shah Alam, Selangor, the event will be the first pickleball tournament in Malaysia powered entirely by renewable energy, certified through Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs).
The launch event, held at Picklefy on July 1, was officiated by Solarvest Group vice president Jack Tan, alongside national shuttler and brand ambassador Ng Tze Yong, and representatives from Baseline AFA and Picklefy.
The ceremony marked a milestone for Solarvest, as the company expands its sustainability efforts beyond infrastructure and into lifestyle, health, and community engagement.
“At Solarvest, clean energy is not just about infrastructure. It’s about how we live, work, and play,”
“By supporting a sport as dynamic and inclusive as pickleball, we aim to foster healthier communities and drive meaningful conversations around sustainable living,” said Tan.
The tournament is expected to draw 480 players from across Southeast Asia, competing in Men’s Doubles, Women’s Doubles, and Mixed Doubles categories.

The event will also feature appearances by notable personalities and players such as Delia Arnold, Jang Han Byul, Natalie Loke, and Khoo Eryang.
Winners stand a chance to share over RM35,000 in cash prizes, in addition to receiving professional-grade paddles, limited edition Solarvest x Puma jerseys, eco-friendly medals crafted by sustainability partner NatureLoop, and other exclusive gifts.
