MIRI: Over 200 staff members of Sarawak Oil Palms Berhad (SOP) and their family members took to the trails of Niah National Park on Saturday for the annual ‘Kasi Jadi Social Hiking’ event.

The event saw staff from various departments and operational sites across Sarawak coming together in what has become a signature initiative promoting staff wellness, unity and team spirit.

Organised as part of SOP’s ongoing efforts to foster a healthy lifestyle and nurture interdepartmental bonds, the hike offered more than just a walk in the park.

It served as a shared experience-blending nature, adventure, and connection.

“Initiatives like this not only encourage healthy living but also build unity and camaraderie among colleagues from different backgrounds and locations,” said Agnes Nyelang, Senior Public Relations Manager at SOP.

The Kasi Jadi Social Hiking event is part of SOP’s broader internal engagement strategy, which aims to cultivate an inclusive and connected workplace culture.
