MIRI : The Society of English Writers Northern Zone (SOSWE) delivered a compelling push for community wellness here on Friday with a focused mental and physical health session that resonated with a broad cross-section of participants.

Running from 2 pm to 3 pm at the Tegas Digital Innovation Hub, the programme drew a mixed audience, including two visitors from Japan, signalling the society’s expanding visibility and its relevance beyond local circles.

The session’s keynote speaker, Dr Uma Devi cut through the noise with a clear message: mental health and physical well-being cannot be separated.

She equipped participants with practical tools for managing stress, building emotional resilience, and adopting healthier lifestyle habits that are both sustainable and realistic.

In a brief closing ceremony, SOSWE President, Karambir Singh, presented Dr Uma with a Certificate of Appreciation, commending her contribution to community learning.

He also thanked Tegas Digital Innovation Hub for providing an enabling space that drives education, empowerment, and community development.

The event reinforced SOSWE’s strategic commitment to promoting continuous learning, meaningful dialogue, and personal growth across the region.
