Spain keen to partner Sarawak on technology devt sector

KUCHING: Spain is interested in collaborating with Sarawak in the technology development sector.

According to the Ambassador of Spain to Malaysia, Jose Luis Pardo Cuerdo, he wanted to look into and contribute to the action plan of the Sarawak government in the sector.

“We have identified sectors that are a priority for Sarawak and that Spain can contribute through our companies.

“This sector includes renewable energy, technology development, smart cities, ‘Artificial Intelligence’ and many other sectors that can be developed.

“This also includes culture, tourism, agriculture and many more,” he said.

He said this when met by the media after paying a courtesy call on Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg at Wisma Bapa Malaysia, yesterday.

The courtesy call was also attended by the Economic and Commercial Counsellor of the Spain Embassy, Ines Perez Durantez Bayono.
