KUCHING: The agenda for the upcoming Sarawak State Legislative Assembly (DUN) special sitting, scheduled for July 7, will be announced during a pre-council meeting.
Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg said DUN Speaker Tan Sri Datuk Amar Mohamad Asfia Awang Nassar is expected to make the announcement ahead of the sitting.
“We will have a pre-council meeting. The Speaker will announce the agenda before the special sitting,” he told a press conference after officiating the Sarawak Media Conference (SMEC) 2025 here today.
A formal notice dated July 7 was previously issued to all 82 state assembly members, notifying them of the sitting.
Signed by the Speaker, the notice states that the sitting will convene at 9 am, in accordance with Standing Order 8(3) of the Sarawak DUN Standing Orders.
