MUKAH: Deputy Minister for Integrity and Ombudsman Datuk Dr Juanda Jaya recently presented awards to a total of 12 students from Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Agama (SMKA) Igan and 15 students from Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan (SMK) Matu who excelled in Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) 2021.

His private secretary, Aini Latip, presented the incentive during a quick handover ceremony at the two institutions in separate ceremonies.

Such reward is meant to serve as motivation for all students, Aini pointed out.

“This reward is one item that drives pupils at this school to take care of learning and educational-related issues.

“It’s also a way of showing appreciation for the students who have been working hard to excel in their studies and SPM exams,” he stressed.

He continued by saying that the only way they could change their own and their families’ future was via education.

The Jemoreng assemblyman previously started the SMKA Igan Student Endowment Education Fund, which was established for the school in 2018.

It is done to make it simpler for the school’s students to continue their education at a higher level after the current academic year is over.

Juanda does not want pupils to leave school or be unable to finish their education as a result of financial difficulties.

No matter where they are from, all students are eligible to receive and use the cash incentives wisely.
