SIMANGGANG: Ahead of their next 2025 Sarawak Premier League fixture, Sri Aman have refocused their sights on securing three crucial points.

Determined to bounce back, they are aiming for a strong performance in their upcoming clash against Sarikei at the Sri Aman Sports Complex this Saturday (Oct 11).

Team manager Alfred Kendim said this weekend’s match marks the third outing for head coach Standley James Batang’s men — one they must capitalise on fully.

“In short, this match against Sarikei must be turned into a victory. We have the home advantage, and it must be used wisely,” Alfred told Sarawak Tribune.

He stressed the path to victory will not be easy, as the visiting side, Sarikei, will also be eager to earn a positive result.

Therefore, Alfred expects a tightly contested encounter between both sides.

“The players are showing good spirit, and I believe they will give their best performance in the upcoming game even though we know that Sarikei, known as the ‘Pineapple City’ team and led by the vastly experienced coach Safri Amit, will be tough opponents,” he added.

Alfred said the players have already put behind them the disappointment of their previous 0-3 defeat to Serian.

He also revealed that the team had conducted a post-mortem and analysed the players’ performances to identify areas for improvement.

“We have addressed the weaknesses during training, focusing particularly on the team’s structure and coordination,” he said.

Sri Aman, known as the ‘White Doves’, currently sit in fourth place with three points after two matches.
