KUCHING: The Sri Aman League Football Championship, Datuk Francis Harden Hollis Cup 2025, is set to return – much to the delight of local football fans.
Organised by the Sri Aman Division Football Association (FASA), the prestigious tournament will kick off on August 2.
FASA Honorary Secretary, Alfred Kendim, said this year’s edition will be limited to just eight teams, with participation strictly reserved for teams based in the Sri Aman Division.
“We’ve already opened registration. Interested teams or those seeking more information can contact me at 013-8248062,” said Alfred when contacted.
He added that the registration deadline is July 30, and only players who are native to Sri Aman or currently working in the division are eligible to join the competing teams.
“The objective of this league is to scout and select players to represent Sri Aman in the 2025 Sarawak Premier League,” said Alfred, noting that the draw ceremony will be held on July 31.
The champion team will receive RM6,000 in cash, along with a trophy and medals.
The runner-up will walk away with RM3,000, a trophy and medals, while the third-placed team will earn RM2,000, a trophy and medals.
The fourth-placed team will receive medals only.
“This year’s edition will also include awards for Best Team, Best Player of the Final, and Top Scorer,” Alfred added.
He noted that the Sri Aman League Football Championship is one of several tournaments FASA has planned for the year.
“We will also organise several other competitions throughout 2025,” he said.
