KUCHING: State Secretary Datuk Amar Mohamad Abu Bakar Marzuki has expressed his deepest concern over the helicopter incident near Long Lellang, stressing that the personnel aboard were carrying out their duties to serve communities in the interior.
He said the incident was a poignant reminder of the commitment and responsibility shouldered by public servants, who often had to travel to remote areas and face challenging conditions in carrying out their duties.
“News of the helicopter incident near Long Lellang yesterday has deeply touched us all.
“The personnel aboard the flight were carrying out their duties and responsibilities to provide the best possible services to the people of Sarawak in the interior areas,” he said in his Facebook post today.
Abu Bakar said the dedication of public servants remained steadfast despite the challenges and risks associated with serving communities in remote areas.
“Our prayers and thoughts are with them, their respective families, and all personnel involved in the search and rescue operation,” he said.
He added that he, and the entire Sarawak Civil Service, prayed for the search and rescue efforts to be eased and carried out smoothly.
