KUCHING: A total of 27 students from St. Joseph’s Private Secondary School (SJPSS) scored straight A’s while 11 students scored all A’s and 1B in their Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) 2022 examination.

“Sixty-two students achieved B or better in all subjects. The school had 159 students taking the SPM examination in February and March this year and their performance was indeed heartening for everyone,” SJPSS said in a press release.

One student scored 10A+ and 1A and another 9A+ and 1A.

The chief executive officer (CEO) of the St. Joseph’s Family of Schools, Christopher Chua, of which SJPSS is a part of, was on hand to meet the graduates as they came to collect their results. He was accompanied by the senior assistants of the school.

SJPSS acting principal Father Stanley Goh, who was unfortunately unable to be present in school sent his congratulations in a press statement to the graduates on their commendable performance, despite the fact that they had to endure years of disruption due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

“I’m very proud of how our students have been able to rise above all the challenges to do well.

“The Josephian spirit of courage and wisdom was shown by all of them as they managed to meet the challenges head-on while learning and growing in the process,” he said.

Goh joined the students in thanking the dedicated teachers who so ably accompanied the students for all their years in the school.

Adding further, he said that teachers do so much more than teach and impart knowledge as they were a constant source of strength and encouragement for the students.

“As we congratulate our students, we also extend much gratitude to all teachers for all that they have done,” he said.
