State records 330 COVID-19 cases

KUCHING: Sarawak recorded 330 COVID-19 cases during the 52nd epidemiology (epid) week, a slight decrease compared to 475 cases during the 51st epid week.

Of the 330 cases, 323 were in categories one and two, while seven cases were in categories three, four, and five.

The Sarawak Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) in its weekly update said two fatal cases were recorded, one in Kuching and another in Bintulu.

In the 52nd epid week, Kuching recorded the highest number at 109 cases, followed by Sibu (39), Miri (34), Bintulu (32), Sarikei (19), Serian (18), Samarahan (15), Dalat (12) and Mukah (12).

Nine cases were recorded in Bau; four in Betong and Pakan; and three each in Kapit, Subis, Lubok Antu and Beluru.

Meanwhile, two cases each were reported in Saratok, Limbang and Simunjan; and one each in Lundu, Daro, Matu, Marudi and Sebauh.
