KUCHING: Sarawak Tourism Board (STB) is proudly showcasing the best of the state at the Matta Fair Kuala Lumpur 2025, with their booth located at the Sarawak Pavilion at MITEC, from April 18 to 20.
Visitors will have the chance to explore exclusive travel promotions and experience the vibrant culture of Sarawak through live performances and traditional craft demonstrations.
The event aims to strengthen relationships with tourism partners while encouraging visitors to discover Sarawak’s natural beauty and rich cultural heritage.
The Sarawak Pavilion will feature over 20 exhibitors, including tour operators, product owners and handicraft vendors, providing a comprehensive insight into Sarawak’s eco-tourism, cultural immersion, and off-the-beaten-path travel experiences.
A key highlight at the STB booth is the introduction of the Sarawak Borneo Pass, which offers a 20 per cent discount on flights to Sarawak.
The promotion, valid for bookings made between March 12 and June 22, applies to travel dates from June 14 to 29, with special promo codes for Malaysia Airlines (MHRWMF25) and Firefly (FYRWMF25) providing access to the discount.
STB is also offering exclusive one-day passes to the Rainforest World Music Festival (RWMF) 2025, available only through official trade partners at the fair, with each pass purchase including a special gift redeemable at the festival.
RHB Bank cardholders will benefit from a 5 per cent discount on Sarawak travel packages when booking through selected trade partners at the fair, making it easier to plan a visit to the state.
In addition to travel offers, the Sarawak Pavilion promises an immersive cultural experience, featuring live performances of traditional sape music, nose flute melodies, indigenous dances, and artisan demonstrations such as tattooing and basket weaving to showcase Sarawak’s rich cultural heritage.
Food lovers can enjoy live cooking sessions featuring laksa Sarawak and kek lapis with free tastings, while visitors can also participate in photo opportunities with Sarawak warriors and maidens, engage in trivia games, and win exclusive Sarawak-themed souvenirs.
Visitors are encouraged to visit the STB booth to discover the sights, sounds and flavours that make Sarawak a unique and unforgettable destination.
