PUTRAJAYA: The Sarawak Timber Industry Development Corporation (STIDC) has earned national recognition after winning the Gold Award (Public Sector Category) at the Integrity, Governance and Anti-Corruption Awards (AIGA) 2025, held at the Dewan Perdana, Putrajaya International Convention Centre (PICC) today.
The award was presented by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, witnessed by members of the Malaysian Institute of Integrity (IIM) board and senior representatives from both public and private sectors.
STIDC stood out as the sole recipient from Sarawak among 131 public sector agencies, 71 private organisations nationwide and 16 Sarawak-based government agencies competing this year, underscoring its strong commitment to integrity, good governance and anti-corruption practices.
Organised by the IIM, AIGA served as a prestigious platform to evaluate and strengthen internal control systems among organisations in areas of integrity, governance and anti-corruption.
STIDC’s management attributed the achievement to the collective dedication of its workforce in implementing integrity-driven initiatives and maintaining excellence in corporate governance.
In a statement, the corporation extended its highest appreciation to all STIDC staff and management for their continuous commitment to upholding ethical standards across all operations.
The event also featured the inaugural National Integrity Premier Address, delivered by the Prime Minister.
STIDC’s delegation was led by General Manager, Datuk Zainal Abidin Abdullah, accompanied by acting Deputy General Manager, Suraya Mohamad Ali, and other senior management officers.
