KUCHING: The Hole-In-One prizes and STIDC Golf 2025 Challenge trophy were unveiled today as the 31st STIDC Golf 2025 prepares to tee off on August 23 at Sarawak Golf Club with 228 participants.
Sarawak Timber Industry Development Corporation (STIDC) General Manager, Zainal Abidin Abdullah, said that the tournament is a strategic platform with the main objective of strengthening ties between government agencies, the corporation’s subsidiaries, timber industry players, and the public in Sarawak.
“For this year’s edition, we are very pleased to receive 228 participants from various categories, including VIP guests, special invitees, subsidiaries, STIDC staff, as well as participants from the Men’s and Women’s (Open) categories.

“Through this event, we strive to enhance networking, create a conducive environment to share ideas and ideologies, and foster stronger teamwork in the sector we deeply value.
“We believe that through active participation in golf, participants will gain valuable experiences in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere, while also strengthening closer professional ties,” he said.
He said this during the Hole-In-One prizes and STIDC Golf 2025 Challenge Trophy presentation ceremony at STIDC Seminar Hall, Wisma Sumber Alam here today.
He added that the tournament is also a proactive initiative to broaden STIDC’s networks and community relations with various stakeholders.
“This is important to ensure synergy and sustainable development in Sarawak’s timber industry. We hope that these strong relationships will serve as a solid foundation in achieving the economic and social development aspirations of our state,” he added.
Zainal also extended appreciation to sponsors, including Lonpac Insurance Bhd, Saratim Insurance Agency Services Sdn Bhd, Leong Adjustment Sdn Bhd, and MSM International Adjuster (M) Sdn Bhd, for contributing high-value prizes that have elevated the prestige of the event.
Among the prizes are a Perodua Axia worth RM51,500, a Perodua Bezza worth RM40,000, Home Theatre sets or cash equivalents worth RM15,000, Rolex watches or cash equivalents worth RM15,000 and overseas trips or cash equivalents worth RM15,000 and more.
The unveiling ceremony was part of preparations for STIDC Golf 2025, which remains one of the most anticipated and prestigious golf events in Sarawak.
