KUCHING: The Sarawak Timber Industry Development Corporation (STIDC) recently paid tribute to 35 retiring staff members and honoured recipients of the Anugerah Perkhidmatan Cemerlang (APC) 2024 at the Majlis Makan Malam Jasamu Dikenang 2026.
The dinner was officiated by Deputy Minister of Natural Resources and Urban Development Sarawak Datuk Len Talif Salleh, who is also a board member of STIDC.
In his address, Len Talif congratulated the APC recipients and expressed appreciation to the retirees for their years of dedicated service, describing their contributions as instrumental to STIDC’s growth and the development of Sarawak’s timber industry.

“STIDC continues to play an important role in supporting Sarawak’s development agenda, particularly through sustainable forest management, strong governance practices and efforts to enhance industry competitiveness,” he said.
He also commended STIDC’s commitment to integrity and transparency, noting the organisation’s achievement in obtaining the Anti-Bribery Management System (ABMS) certification.
STIDC was also recognised as the sole recipient of the Gold Award (Public Sector) at the Integrity, Governance and Anti-Corruption Awards 2025.
Meanwhile, STIDC general manager Datuk Zainal Abidin Abdullah said the recognition accorded to retirees and APC recipients reflects the organisation’s appreciation for dedication, professionalism and consistent excellence among its workforce.
“This recognition is not merely ceremonial, but a reflection of the values we uphold — commitment, accountability and continuous improvement,” he said.
Looking ahead, Zainal said STIDC will continue to strengthen governance, enhance human capital development, expand high-value and value-added timber products, and foster closer collaboration with industry players and relevant agencies in 2026.
The dinner also recognised STIDC officers who demonstrated outstanding performance and excellence in service, in line with efforts to cultivate a professional and results-oriented work culture.
