KUCHING: STM Lottery Sdn Bhd has announced that starting January 1, 2026, customers making sales or prize claim transactions of RM10,000 and above must provide their identity and personal details.
In a statement issued today (Dec 29), the company said customers are required to present their MyKad and submit their personal information via a “Manual Form” or the STM PCS App.
“This requirement is in compliance with the mandatory e-Invoice submission under the Income Tax Act 1967 (Section 82C), as implemented by the Inland Revenue Board of Malaysia. Our friendly Customer Service Assistants (CSA) at the counter will be happy to guide you through the process,” the statement read.
The company added that the personal data collected is required for e-Invoice issuance and reporting purposes in accordance with the Income Tax Act 1967 and requirements imposed by the Inland Revenue Board of Malaysia.
“Any personal data collected will be processed and disclosed strictly for the purposes stated above and in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 and our Privacy Policy. We appreciate your cooperation and understanding,” it added.
