JULAU: A storekeeper was killed after his motorcycle skidded out of control and crashed along Jalan Entabai yesterday (Nov 10).
The accident occurred at around 5.10 pm when the 28-year-old was riding from a longhouse towards Julau town.
Julau police chief DSP Alif Haiqal Ramesh Abdullah said the victim is believed to have lost control of his motorcycle before it veered into the opposite lane and crashed into the embankment on the right.
“The victim sustained severe head injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics from Julau Health Clinic.
“His body was later taken to Sarikei Hospital for a post-mortem,” he said.
The case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
