KUCHING: The storeroom behind a double-storey house here in Kampung Haji Baki was damaged in a fire early this morning (May 28).
The State Fire Department operations centre said they received a distress call at 6.38am and despatched firemen from Batu Lintang station to the scene.
No human casualties or injuries were reported as its tenant managed to get out to safety.
The store room only suffered 15 percent damages after the team put out the fire in the room.
After ensuring the situation is secured, the team departed back to their station. The cause of the fire is still being investigated.
