KUCHING: From storytelling and colouring contests to health talks and cultural performances, the Sarawak Book Fair 2025 began on Saturday at The Hills with nine days of activities designed to entertain, educate and inspire.

The opening day featured a variety of highlights, including the ‘Warna-Warni Pesta Buku’ colouring competition, book exhibition and sales, Pustaka Negeri Sarawak’s Customer Day, a health talk, a ‘Reading Seeds’ storytelling session with Amelia, and The Enchanted Story Magic Show, which entertained families with fun and wonder.

In addition to the main attractions, side events have also been lined up to enrich the experience of visitors throughout the fair.

Running until October 5, the nine-day book fair features talk sessions, workshops, exhibitions, cultural performances and activities designed for families and book enthusiasts alike.

Pustaka Negeri Sarawak said the fair not only promotes a reading culture but also serves as a platform for publishers, authors, cultural practitioners and readers to engage and exchange ideas.

Meanwhile, members of the public are invited to visit the fair that offers a unique blend of knowledge, culture, health and entertainment under one roof.
